I’ve gotta be less paranoid.
it’s harsh being part of the backstage crew. your friends are with their own dance crews, the only guy you talk to has to leave early and you’re all by yourself: no one offers you dinner (and you don’t eat at all), you mope in the audi only to get chased out and people shove and rush past you to get to the stage.
but it all pays off
when the performances are so spectacular, when you get tapped on the shoulder two times, one by the one you admire so much and another from one who appreciates your contribution, when your friends say hi and express amazement and encouragement at your seemingly dry job, when you see them do their amazing on stage like completely and radically different professionals…
trust me, it’s going to rock
